EDUC 871 E VALUATION OF A L ITERATURE R EVIEW A SSIGNMENT I NSTRUCTIONS The purpose of this assignment is for you to read, evaluate, and critique the literature review of a dissertation using the criteria provided in this rubric. You will score each criterion with a 1, 2, or 3, where “3” is good and “1” is poor and then assign a final, overall grade. You will then provide a 1–2 sentence explanation as to why you rated each criterion as you did in the table listed at the bottom. The maximum score is a 36. Criterion Score Comments A. 3 Literature inclusion is supported with substantial evidence in the dissertation. In the literature, you will find data and evidence supporting effective virtual communication. B. 3 The dissertation presents a comprehensive analysis of the field's current state of the art and what needs to be improved. It also discussed the various strategies leaders and companies can utilize to establish successful virtual communication. By developing trusting relationships and fostering cooperation, organizations can achieve their goals. C. 3 The dissertation provides the reader with data explaining how effective virtual communication relies on clarity, authenticity, transparency, and consistency. These factors can help build trust and inspire stakeholders' engagement. Clarity helps ensure that everyone is on the same page. Authenticity allows people to connect with each other and create a sense of comfort and safety. Transparency allows everyone to see the whole picture and helps prevent misunderstandings. Consistency helps create a sense of reliability and trustworthiness for both parties. D. 2 The dissertation provides the reader with some mention of the history of the topic. The current research and history of available literature was discussed along with developments on key topics related to the virtual environment since COVID-19 began. This information was used to identify the potential benefits and drawbacks of continuing to use a virtual environment in the future. E. 2 Definitions and key vocabulary are explained. F. 3 The dissertation gives the reader a thorough overview of many variables associated with the research, and the significance of the study. A new, virtual environment was introduced at COVID-19, forcing organizations to adopt modern technology and learn how to do business in it. G. 3 In the dissertation, the author synthesized and combined information from multiple sources in order to gain a new perspective on the literature. In addition to that, he also added his own analysis and interpretation of the data. He showed how the sources were connected, related, or different from each other. As a result of his understanding, evaluation, and creation of the literature, he demonstrated originality in his writing. H. 2 The dissertation provides the reader with the research methodology used. The dissertation is based on a qualitative study that involved interviewing both leaders and subordinates who work in virtual environments as part of the research. The questions developed for the study were designed to support a qualitative method that could be used to answer the question of successful virtual communication. I. 3 The author kept track of the information used in the research and presented it in a way that was both informative and accurate. He then used this data to draw accurate conclusions that were further supported by reliable sources. J. 3 The dissertation provides the reader with a critiqued practical significance of research. The author explains how COVID-19 shaped the world we live in. Without proper support and knowledge about virtual communication, organizations were forced to adopt an alternative
