Clinical Field Experience B
For my Clinical Field Experience B, I observed m
ultiple grade levels ranging from 9-12 as well as different content areas such as
Biblical Studies
, Math and English. For this experience,
I assisted my mentor teacher give a small lesson in her Biblical Studies class. On this particular day students listened to a brief lesson covering the story of Noah and then participated in a cl
ass quiz game covering general knowledge of bible stories. One of the strategies implemented was game
-based learning. My mentor teacher used a quiz game that she created to test students previous knowledge of the bible and their knowledge of the previous stories and lessons that they
have discussed
prior
. She also utilized story telling techniques in order to educate students ton the story of Noah and why it is important and relevant today. These methods were able to keep students engaged as the game-based
learning got students excited to engage in friendly competition with each other and decide a class winner of who knew the bible best. They were also able to engage in the story-telling as well as they chimed in with their own jokes and comment
ary on the actions of certain characters within the story. My role with the students was to mediate and make sure that everyone stayed on task and
providing students with clues and hints when questions were asked and helping out when the game was played. This lesson did not e
xclusively call for collaborative work methods, but students enjoyed working with each other to figure out answers to the more difficult questions. When there was a question that students came across that was a bit difficult to answer on their own, they would often team up in groups and use research method such as the internet or their bible to try and fin
d the answers. I think this was a great way for students to interact with each other as it helped them to connect as peers and allowed them to work together naturally without being asked. <

This first paragraph is your introduction (Approximately 150 words)
. Begin with a strong
grabber/intro statement go get the reader’s attention, and end with a focused purpose statement for the paper. The Purpose Statement is similar to a thesis statement, only slightly different. The main ideas of the overall essay must be included in your introduction paragraph. From those main ideas, the Purpose Statement provides the purpose, scope, and direction of the paper. First Heading
Begin this paragraph with a strong topic sentence. After your topic sentence, make your first
claim. The following sentences will be scholarly information to support the claim you are
making. Your next paragraph is your second claim, followed by scholarly supports of that claim.
Continue this pattern until you have made the claims necessary for this one heading. Paragraphs
are 4 to 6 sentences in length. Your concluding sentence should transition to your next heading
and set of claims.
Second Heading
Begin this paragraph with a strong topic sentence picking up the transition from the
paragraph above. Build your claims one sentence at a time using scholarly supports for each
claim (same structure as your above paragraph) Paragraphs are 4 to 6 sentences in length.
Continue with headings
Continue building your paper in this manner. Use as many headings as needed to make
your claim while supporting it with scholarly sources, using the sentence format and structure as
noted. In many cases your headings can be directly related to the prompts in the assignment.
Some prompts may not be deep enough to support an entire heading, in this case see where you
can combine prompts under one heading.
