OBSERVING SCHOOL-AGE CHILDREN 6 TO 10 YEARS OLD
Upon observing the video footage of the young children, I saw a clear differentiation between
the preschool-aged individuals. Undoubtedly, the children have experienced a significant
increase in their physical stature and have acquired enhanced strength. One of the boys playing
with trucks has the ability to reposition himself on his feet. He exhibits excellent bodily
coordination. The individual's fine motor skills have shown improvement. The child with the
braids demonstrated proficiency in handling and dispensing the jug of vinegar, whereas another
girl expressed uncertainty about her ability to pour it independently. New faculties are also being
established. The girl with pigtails is using her sense of smell to detect the odor of vinegar. She
also sampled it and found the taste unpleasant. Children in this developmental stage commence
to engage in rational thinking. Two children were engaged in a game of Mancala, a strategic
game that demands careful method and forethought. Furthermore, their fine motor skills have
developed as they were able to grasp the pieces using their fingers. The two youngsters engaged
in imaginative play, utilizing their creative faculties to invent their own game involving cars. I
observed an increase in the use of specialized language among the children. They possess the
ability to engage in comprehensive discussions with others. The words are far from being
challenging to comprehend. The girls engaging in doll play are of the same gender and are

enjoying their playtime harmoniously. They were displaying their dolls to one another. The boy
and girl worked collaboratively and harmoniously on the examination. They were exchanging
their knowledge with one another.
Areas covered the boy and girl who found a seat at the table. In fact, they remained there
without any complications. Both individuals have enhanced their fine motor skills. The girl
possessed the ability to grasp the jug containing vinegar and dispense its contents. The boy
grasped the container of hot liquid and employed a spoon to transfer it into the dish. They were
engaged in conversation. They were collaborating to determine the quantity of each item they
planned to include. The boy informed the girl that she had added a substantial amount of vinegar,
and I believe she affirmed by saying, "You're right." He was expressing his evaluation and she
did not become angry about it. They had the opportunity to interact amicably and collaborate.
There was a significant disparity between the school-age children and the infants/toddlers
and preschoolers .Infants have limited mobility. They acquire the ability to crawl and then
progress to sitting up, eventually learning to walk with assistance. Toddlers have the ability to
