connection to the land.

List some basic characteristics of the rural local culture of Hutterites.
A basic characteristic would be communal living. Another characteristic is agricultural lifestyle. Another
characteristic is traditional dress. Hutterites also speak the German language, so this language helps for
communication. The education for hutterites is also based on religious teachings.

Explain the concept of a cultural landscape.
A cultural landscape is an idea of anthropology and cultural geography. This shapes the cultural, physica,
and historical forces. This also shows how people use land. One major component is human
modification. This can be agriculture, mining, irrigation, urban development, deforestation, and
infrastructure construction. Another major component of cultural landscape is symbolism and identity.
This can feature landmarks, designs, and structures that have historical significance.
