2 Module 01 Assignment - Personal Stress Assessment Stress is the natural physical and psychological response to life experiences. Everyone experience stress from time to time throughout occasion. Anything from daily duties like work, school and home to difficult life events such as, a recent diagnosis, conflict, or the death of a loved one may trigger stress. For quick, short-term situations, stress may be beneficial to the well-beings of a few. Stress will help you deal with potentially difficult situations. The body reacts to stress by releasing hormones that change your heart and respiration rates and ready the muscles to react (Scott, 2020). Stresss impacts us all. You may notice symptoms of stress when disciplining children, during busy periods at work or school, when managing finances, or when coping with difficult relationships. Stress is everywhere. And while a small amount of stress is okay, and can be beneficial, too much stress will wear you down and make you ill, both mentally and physically. The most harmful thing about stress is how well it ill sneak up on you. You may become accustomed to stress. It looks and feel familiar, even normal to some You may not notice how much stress is impacting you, even may take a massive toll. Therefore it is crucial to be aware of the general warning signs and symptoms of stress burden. My stress levels fluctuate throughout the day. It’s difficult to tell if the majority of tension is caused by big life events or everyday annoyances. Serious life situations, on the other hand, will almost inevitably affect certain people’s stress levels, but how they deal with their stress will determine how high the stress level rises. The scenario that comes to mind when I think about everyday hassles that cause stress is being continuously distracted while cleaning my house or working on a school project. For me, stress manifests itself in stages. When I just can’t
3 concentrate on what I’m doing, I begin to walk around my house in a daze. Another source of stress leads me to lie down or start rocking back and forth. The central nervous system system is in charge of the “ fight or flight ” result. In your mind, the hypothalamus makes the ball rolling, awaring your adrenal glands to release the stress hormones adrenaline and cortisol. These hormones increase your pulse and direct blood to rush to the fields that need it most during an emergency, such as the muscles, heart, and other important organs. Stress management begins with describing the sources of stress throughout your. While it is easy to describe major stressors such as staring school, starting a new job or going through a breakup, pinpointing these origins of chronic stress may be more complicated. It is all too easy to overlook how your personal opinions, beliefs, and behaviors contribute to daily stress levels. Sure, you may realize that you’re always worried about work deadlines, but perhaps it is your procrastination, rather than the current work requirements, that is causing the stress (
