Questions and Answers
Answer the following questions in the fields below.
Question 1:
What question is being addressed in the following study? At the time of entry to school data on height and weight were collected from 13,345 children; and early feeding, diet, and lifestyle factors were assessed using responses to a questionnaire completed by parents. The prevalence of obesity in children who had never been breast-fed was 4.5% as compared to 2.8% in ever breast-fed children. The protective effect of beast feeding on overweight and obesity could not be explained by differences in social class or lifestyle. von Kries R., et al. Adv Exp Med Biol. 2000; 478:29-39.

These data were collected following exercise at the beginning of the study, and again after the subjects had been on a low-carbohydrate diet for two weeks.
