MODULE FOUR_TYPES OF RESEARCH 2 The research question that I selected for my study is, how does a medication review and interventions by a pharmacist for older adults decrease their overall adverse drug events? This research question requires an actual intervention by a pharmacist to measure the outcome of adverse drug events to determine if they decreased or increased. To perform this type of research study, a quantitative research study must be conducted. It is a quantitative study because it will an experimental study involve changing the type of independent variable, the intervention(s), to see if they produce a different outcome in the patient’s adverse drug events. The study will also use questions by the intervention participants, collect data, and report statistically outcomes once the study has been completed. (Jacobsen, 2021).
