CCM1 Phase 2 Video Reflection
I chose to speak on Influenza and Pneumonia as my healthcare consumer-focused synthesis since we are all in the middle of flu season. I found a lot of information and it was very
good. I presented my synthesis to my fellow colleagues, and it was well received. They suggested and rightfully so to make it less clinical and more of a layperson-oriented information sheet. I thought their advice was sound and I think it worked out quite well. I accessed the WGU
Library to conduct my research. What I learned by doing this research will help me when I am with my current clients and when I am opening new cases. I already inform and educate clients on the importance of getting their seasonal vaccinations, but now I can expand on the education aspect and present this information on the pathophysiology and pharmacology in an interesting way and with confidence that just may compel my stubborn clients to change their minds to vaccinate and/or improve their health habits. Please understand that there is an enormous amount of relevant information and the desire to include all of it is what, to me, makes this assignment difficult to keep it to one page.
