First big issue that I see in the field that I would like to work in is that the NCAA is not compensating student athletes financially. One side may say that it is not necessary to pay them because they get free education. The other side may say that the athletes are not able to work and make money because they schedules are very busy. Also, a lot of families are not able to support these athletes financially. If we look for example on football the majority of the athletes reach their peak while they are still playing college sports. This means that they are never going to make to the NFL, but the colleges make hundreds of millions of dollars that are not used to compensate student athletes but to build absurd multi-billion dollars facilities that are far more expensive than the facilities of the professional teams. The second issue I have found is the substance abuse in sports. Some athletes take advantage of these drugs to enhance their performance, or they just simply use alcohol and drugs to release the stress that is constantly on them. One side of this argument could say that we should let them use it because the athletes will be faster, stronger, bigger. This fact could make the sport industry bigger because more people would be interested seeing this, which would bring more money into to the industry too. The other side of the argument may say that we should control their blood and urine samples more often so we can control this aspect more. They could also implement no drug, alcohol, and steroids toleration rules within the organizations. Educating the athletes is important and can be used as a prevention. A lot of them does not need to know how these substances affect their health. In the NCAA problem I would like to choose the side that support the statement that the student athletes should get compensated financially by the schools. If this issue was solved this could help thousands of student athletes. As I mentioned earlier the majority of them reach the peak of their careers during their collegiate careers. The second problem covering the substance abuse I would like to write about the side that support banning these substances and education of the athletes in this field. This could be very beneficial for everyone in the field .
