My Diet Analysis
My Diet Analysis
During my diet analysis, I discovered that I did not meet the daily food group
recommendations for grains, fruits, dairy, and vegetables. I fell short of these dietary intakes on
both of my weekday recordings. I only achieved the recommended amounts of protein intake for
both days. My weekend diet analysis I did not meet the daily food group recommendations for
only grains and dairy.
I noticed that during the week, I did not meet more of the food group recommendations
compared to the weekend. These results are a direct reflection of how I pack my breakfast and
lunch for the week while I am working. Due to increased costs at the grocery store, I can no

did not have as much fruit in the house. I can add an orange with my lunch to help meet the two
cup recommendations. For dairy, I eat cheese and that is my main and only source of dairy that I
consume. I do not drink milk because I save it for my children to drink. I could replace my water
at dinner with a glass of milk to help increase my daily intake or add milk to my protein shakes
instead of water. Lastly, I fell short of vegetables 2 out of the 3 days. I was a little surprised by
this because I normally eat a protein and a vegetable for lunch and dinner and that is it. For the
