Subject: Importance and usefulness of statistics and data analytics
Hello Michelle,
Thank you for the feedback, I understand that you have questions concerning the importance and usefulness of statistics and data analytics. Below in the email you will find all the answers for your question you may have.
The importance of these items will help the facility to run smoothly. The facility will be able to use the data and be able to help make improvements. This would help us manage our physicians, staff and patients. I have found that user-friendly online surveys offer a simple way to collect information for finding gaps in customer care and to understand how to improve services. Monitoring and improving customer satisfaction has always been a very important factor for driving business forward and it has become an important issue in the medical world as well. The users that would take place would be patients, clinicians, and administrative.
In the healthcare sector, we can find the best examples of how data tracking and analysis change the world for the better (SAKOVICH, 2021). Data collection in healthcare allows health systems to create holistic views of patients, personalize treatments, advance treatment methods, improve communication between doctors and patients, and enhance health outcomes (SAKOVICH, 2021).
Health care is the discipline of diagnosing, preventing, and treating diseases and disorders (Davis & Shiland, 2017, ). Statistics is the scientific application of mathematical principles to the collection, analysis, interpretation, and presentation of numerical data (Davis & Shiland, 2017, ).The inspection and evaluation of groups of data using statistics are called data analytics, and this is the science with which HIM professionals answer questions and develop conclusions (Davis & Shiland, 2017, ). Because of the all-inclusive nature of healthcare data, it would also include the salaries of nurses, the cost of medical office space, the outcome of medical procedures, and the results of diagnostic testing (Davis & Shiland, 2017, ). The use of
healthcare analytics can potentially reduce the cost of treatment, predict disease outbreaks, circumvent preventable illnesses and generally improve the quality of care
and life of patients.
I hope that this email will give you a better understanding of the importance and usefulness of the data provided with respect to the health care facility. Please feel free
to reach out if you have any more questions.
Sincerely,
LaFonda Hollowell
