Savannah Faller EDU 313 CMS Plan 2/29/2024 Classroom Procedures and Routines- articulates daily procedures and routines. I have chosen “Backward design is the part of the process where teachers build effective lessons in three steps. You start by identifying desired results, then how students will be evaluated, and finally what strategies you will use for instruction,” (Wong & Wong, page 261) in my CMS plan. In order to implement this strategy, I plan to first focus on the desired results I want my students to accomplish. The results that are desired will then help to decide how to evaluate the student’s learning. Once I have determined the best way to evaluate the student’s learning, than it is important to determine how to instruct the teachers. Working backwards helps to decide what is expected for the students to know and be able to do. This will help me create my lesson objectives for this lesson plans. Classroom Rules and Policies- articulates methodology for maintaining positive and productive behaviors- I have chosen “ Give students objectives at the beginning of the lesson so they know what they are responsible for accomplishing,” (Wong & Wong, page 265) to be included in my CMS plan. I plan to include this by verbally telling my students the objectives for the week. As well as
creating a newsletter, in this newsletter I will type out the objectives for the week. This will allow family members to also know what is happening in the classroom. Classroom Rules and Policies- Describes appropriate expectations of student. I have chosen “Posts many good examples of past assignments and tests so students can see what they are to do and what tests look like,” (Wong & Wong, page 268) in my CMS plan. I plan to utilize this strategy by showing students examples of assignments. This helps students to understand exactly what is expected of them. For my younger students, it is much easier for them to understand if they have an example to look at.
