The healthcare organization I have chosen for my final project is Lexington Medical Center in Lexington. The medical center serves several cities and counties in Midland, South Carolina. Lexington Medical Center is owned by Lexington County Health Service District, Inc., and is a private hospital. The hospital provides primary care, women’s services, a cancer center, a heart and vascular center, and orthopedics. It also provides long-term care, such as Alzheimer’s Care, physical therapy, and Pulmonary Care. (Lexington Medical Center, 2024)

Public-facing data is essential for understanding and analyzing various aspects of a community or institution. For my course project, I plan to utilize public-facing data from Lexington Medical Center, which serves a diverse population and provides various healthcare services. It allows us to make informed decisions, evaluate healthcare outcomes, and facilitate data-driven decision-making. This data set contains demographics, patient statistics, and healthcare services.
