P a g e | 2 Excutive Sumarry Vaughn’s Pawsitive Haven aims to be a beacon of positive impact in the realm of animal rehabilitation and awareness. Our mission is to provide a safe haven for rescue animals through aa blend of care, enrichment activities and engaging environments. The center seeks to captivate visitor’s while contributing to the well-being of the animals. The business, rooted in Orem, Utah will start plans for a gradual expansion fueled by partnership and collaborations. My envisioned history of the center reflects a journey from humble beginnings to a diverse and impactful force in the education of wildlife rehabilitation. The allowed visits and events offered is not merely a service; its an experience where visitors can observe and connect with animals just like I did as a child, and hopefully connect with animals undergoing rehabilitation. Despite facing risks such as financial constraints or health and legal concerns, my business plans to implement comprehensive safety protocols and maintain a strong relationship with our partners to overcome these challenges. Vaughn’s Pawsitive Haven aspires not only to be a successful business but a positive force in animal welfare and conservation.
P a g e | 3 Company Overview My business will be a rehabilitation center that has viewable animals called Vaughn’s Pawsitive Haven. The mission of this center is to provide a safe and healthy environment for rescue animals to enjoy whether it be temporary or permanent. Vaughn’s Pawsitive Haven will be able to achieve this by including enrichment activities and environments that is always growing and changing to help engage all the animals. The sanctuary will be open to guests and visitors, but an entry fee will be charged. All the admissions fees will go towards the care for the animals in the sanctuary and allow for my business to grow. This business will provide the ability to view and observe the animals that have been rescued from an environment they could no longer survive in due to unfortunate circumstances. This business does not have to be large, so it will start at about 2,500 square feet and this will allow the center to grow and inhabit the wildlife that is rescued to provide the best care. In the first year of my business, it will be very slow in the start. The goal for this year is to gain all the necessary certifications to be able to get the first set of animals by the third year. By year five, this business should already have started operating, so the goal is to create an annual event that will increase the number of visitors by 15%. This event is a child/family friendly event that should draw people in, and this event should begin in the fall of the fifth year. Moving on to the plan for ten years, which is to gain at least one partner to help with the increasing the number of animals that this center has helped and released back to the wild. This business doesn’t have a history, but it does have businesses like it that have been known to rehabilitate animals and house them in the past. The history 1 am trying to make is a positive one, that will be known for it’s positive impact on the lives of animals. The history
P a g e | 4 would show that this business started off very slow and had animals that were too easy to obtain, but as the years go by the animals that were helped got more wilder/exotic. This is the history I thrive for, in the past I have always visited zoos and have always loved animals. I love the thought of helping animals through a rough patch and setting them free, as well as housing the ones that are unable to go back. My business has the history of a person who just wants to provide for he animals of this world. The business will be known for its positive impact on the lives of animals and its diversity to help any animal in need. We will be located in Orem, Utah due to the great weather and large amounts of land for sale for further expansion in the future. This business needs open land and can also have enclosed spaces like an indoor building to host wildlife but mainly for the open spaces. This business will have an organizational form of partnership, it would be most beneficial to the prosperity of this business. This needs plan needs this form of organization to be able to obtain animals from around the world that need rehabilitation to survive. The rehabilitation center will always work closely with others for the wellbeing of all the animals that are in need. Product Or Service My rehabilitation center will serve animals but will allow people to come and view the animals. In this business the product is the animals that are being rehabilitated; people will be able to pay to visit and view the animals that can no longer be in the wild. This facility will also take donations to go toward the wellbeing of the animals we are helping. Some key features of this business are all of the animals that are able to be viewed, these animals will have something that prevents them from surviving in the wild. We will have a facility that host/helps the animals that can go back to the wild away from human contact, we will hold little events during the holidays and summer, in addition to this we have a little program to help educate future animal
