Reflective Journal 1 Unit 1 Part 1 – Reflect I have experience working in classrooms as a substitute teacher, and I am aware of the need of using universal design for learning and customising teaching for each student's unique learning requirements, including those of gifted children, LDs, and ADHD..Just as the textbook states that not all symptoms for these disability categories are experienced by each person with a given diagnosis, i am also aware of the significant attentional and emotional regulation challenges that can come along with these exceptional students. I have learned how to differentiate instruction for students with these exceptionalities, but I always feel like there's never any end to learning and applying what will be helpful for all the complexity involved in each unique student.
