HEM Facilities Peer Review
I think that the overall concept of HEM Facilities is a great one, and I am especially invested in the proposal due to the emotional attachment that the operational facility comes with. Both the working title and the idea of HEM Facilities is within the criteria for the project, relating to both communication and health disparities. I think that providing a center where occupational and physical therapies, as well as speech-
language pathology all occurred will indeed make a difference in the lives of children (and their guardians) who utilize this service. Especially because, in my experience, many children need more than one of these therapies to improve their lives in a well rounded and balanced approach. I would love to see Grant propose HEM Facilities to parents of a census, as well. I think that HEM facilities is an incredible idea that will positively impact many families, however, if he were to include a subset of data to show just how impactful HEM Facilities can be for parents and guardians of children receiving the facility’s services, it may drive donors to be on board or teeter towards being on board more effectively. I believe that Grant has a strong start to proposing this operational facility to donors regarding the health disparities that HEM Facilities is working to bridge gaps in. As Grant states in his proposal, the future is what is being focused on - so finding even more innovative ways to promote and gain acceptance for HEM Facilities should be a priority. Overall, great job on your project proposal for HEM Facilities, Grant! I think you have a great start to a heartwarming and innovative idea here that can change many lives of children like your sisters and parents and guardians like yours. I am excited to
