Distinguish between primary and secondary sources.
Primary source is a firsthand account of an event or the original document. The secondary sources are written after the event and are usually someone else doing an analysis of the event. Explain why it is important to consult a variety of sources when conducting historical research. Include specific details and examples. You should consult a variety of sources to get a broad picture of what you are trying to
research instead of one person’s point of view. You also do not want to just
look at one single person’s primary diary for example because what if they were exaggerating? Then you may not have the correct idea for your research. So if you were looking at several sources to get an idea of more than one person’s point of view you could get a better idea on if that one person was exaggerating or not. You also want to get sources from library, books, journals, newspapers, academic journals and online databases. Identify one
primary
source that would help investigate your research question (include the title, author, and link to the source).

Choose a current event related to the subject of your historical research question and explain how they are connected.
Current event is the war between Ukraine and Russia. Russia invaded Chernobyl in Feb of 2022. Russian military stole the main server for monitoring radiation levels as well as stealing highly radioactive materials as prizes. The invasion spread radioactive material into the atmosphere again which could prove to be as bad as the original disaster. The rubric for Assignment 2-2 is located
