The topic I chose is on inequality a human right. I am currently doing my research on the Tulsa Race Massacre.
Describe how exploring your research question improved your understanding of the historical roots of your current event.
Exploring my research question improved my understanding of the historical roots of my current
event because it helped me understand what and how thing went on in the 1920s when the young black man Dick Rowland was accused of assaulting a young white woman, Sarah Page.
Explain how biased perspectives influence what is known about both your historical and current events.
The biased perspectives influence what is known about both my historical and current events because it depends on who the author is and what they believe about the subject. For instance, if someone who thought that the young man Dick Rowland from the Tulsa Race Massacre was guilty, they would agree with everyone who thought he should be lynched. Propose how the narrative about your historical event might change if it were told from a missing perspective.
The narrative about my historical event might change if it were told from a missing perspective because we would have way more information on what really happened. For example, if Dick Rowland was interviewed, we could have his side of what happened and if Sarah Page was interviewed, we would know what really happen that day they tried to accused Dick Rowland of assaulting Sarah Page. Propose how the narrative about your current event might change if it were told from a missing perspective.
The narrative about my current event might change if it were told from a missing perspective because we wouldn’t just have a one-sided perspective. We could have a two-sided perspective and get both sides of what really happened and why it happened.
