2 NATIVE AMERICANS/AMERICAN INDIAN Indians war been around since 15,000 B.C. fighting for their rights and freedom, protecting their tribes, values, culture, heritage and lands. Paleo-Indian Era was the beginning of the war timeline around the 15,000 B.C and ended in the Pleistocene Ice Age around the 7,000B.C.; was the first colonization of the New World by Homo sapiens[ CITATION The \l 1033 ]. The Paleo-Indians belong to the oldest culture period in North America. As specify in the [ CITATION The \l 1033 ], Archaeologists think they traveled during the Ice age by crossing a land bridge connection between Siberia and Alaska. Once history started revealing the Archaeologist recognize two more culture related to the Indian Americans the Clovis and Hardaway-Dalton cultures. The Paleo Indians are the founding population for all Indians groups that existed during the years to present. I have chosen the Black Hawk war took place between 1831- 1832 in Northern Illinois and Southwestern Wisconsin U.S. The tribes involved where Sauk and Fox who was led by Chief Black Hawk who fought in re-taking their homeland back. During this period, the Department of Indian Affair was established to protect Indians rights[ CITATION Nat17 \l 1033 ]. The Sac where called Sekiwake or Osakiwug meaning “people of the yellow earth”; The Fox where called Meskwaki their meanings “people of the red earth” [ CITATION Nat03 \l 1033 ]. This two tribes extended from Green Bay, Wisconsin to the Mississippi River. The Mississippi River is one of the largest river in the U.S., this is a historic value for the U.S. diplomatic exchanges, vital factor in the physical and economic growth. The Mississippi Valley was claimed and first settled by Native American tribe and about twelfth other groups of Native and American Indians. The Mississippi River and Land was at war with the French, Britians, Spanish and other wanting to be settled and penetrated the territory of the Natchez Indians. The control of the Mississippi River has been an objective of both sides during the Civil War and many other battles took place by the waterway[ CITATION Leg031 \l 1033 ].
