I can see Uncle Kenny having a bias since he was affected by the Great Smog in ways that are still present. He may have feelings of, not so much regret, but more so wishful thinking that he wasn’t around during it. Compare how your historical event is represented in your primary sources. With Uncle Kenny, he has told me his first hand experiences and what he remembers. These are the memories of a 6 year old boy and may be wrong, exaggerated, or traumatic. The medical paper represents publicly available and special use data from those over the age of 50, but when it comes to studies like this, you can’t account for stories being told and remembered by toddlers through their mothers. 2
