I have chosen the idea “Students want procedures and routines”
to be included in my CMS Plan. (Wong & Wong, 144). Students want to know from the very beginning what they are expected to DO in a classroom work environment. They want instruction and guidance on all the how-to’s. This strategy could be used in a classroom by teaching the students what they are to do
and how. Teachers can model the procedures and routines so that the students know what they’re
to do. Practicing the procedures and routines daily will also help them remember them as well.

I have chosen the idea “A Plan in Place” to be included in my CMS Plan. (Wong & Wong, 168). All effective teachers have procedures to assist in managing a classroom and maximizing learning time. This strategy could be used in a classroom by having a Classroom Management Plan binder filled with procedures. This will help you be effective the moment you enter the classroom.

I have chosen the idea “The Benefit of Procedures” to be included in my CMS Plan. (Wong & Wong, 165). Procedures and routines established early in the school year free up the rest of the year to be devoted to teaching and learning. They are the foundation for momentum in
