Materials and technology needed:
I think the materials needed for this type of training for employees and other hires would be having a notebook, writing pad, ipad ,anything that they could possibly take notes of. As more of the training would require the technology of big 3D projections to show a wide room or class setting about the type of job, its training procedures, and also learning about the job, the basic fundamentals would mostly be shown, via Projector, also computer, with a working windows would be needed, as there would be Powerpoint slides as well, that
would help the employees, deduce or differentiate the type of work, or type of training that is implemented. 8.
Lesson outline, activities, timing (this should be a detailed list of topics and points you need to make about each topic). Make sure they tie into your learning objectives! In other words, this section will go beyond in detail what you see in our book (check examples in readings and activities section of this module) This section will be 2-3 pages to cover all of the smaller topics for your training. I think planning an effective training program is very essential. First would be, I would try to go through the types of training that a DHL company can possibly go through. Firstly would be compliance training, which shows that federal governments laws are being used such as safety/health laws or no discrimination at our workplace, that would ensure a positive and peaceful environment for all employees. That ensures hiring, termination , FMLA and W-2 Forms are such of the few primary examples of compliance
training. Another type of training that can be outlined would be the professional
development training program, that includes formal/professional training, technology training, customer service training and business ethics etc. In addition not only deals with
business or professional related training but also deals with workplace related topics, such as timeline crunch, stress or time management. Training also needs to be assessed, usually would begin by putting top priority training at the top such as compliance, then comes the budget. Also setting the budget for let’s say training for a specific skill, that should be offered to the person who has the knowledge of
how to use such a device etc. You can also divide new hire training, separate from the supervisor and manager training programs. Also you can now source the training programs, that would end up with the training type, training needs, or where the training will be. One thing I also came to notice in the lecture as this is very essential to determine what type of training method is best suitable for what candidate/individual. Therefore having modality of training is highly required, that sets off what material/training you want the employee to learn. Therefore, having come back to compliance training, where I want employees to learn safety using training modules, I would try to do online training for them so that it is more convenient, as I would be able to create that and use it for future employee training as well. That is why I also was reading in the modules about the emphasis of gamification in elearning, which shows an intriguing design how training for
employees can be challenging as well as engaging along with it. As the online training would keep score/points, check levels, instant feedbacks, Leaderboards and badges etc. This promotes employee friendly competition, motivates learners to advance through the course. They also have game based learning training modules, where employee level of
