Vision provides the direction of where an organization is going, while strategy outlines the approach to get there. A solid business growth strategy should differentiate a company from its competitors and provide unique value to its customers. At Accenture, our vision is to align the IT department with the overall vision of the company. Our core values include client value creation, respect for individuals, integrity, a cohesive network, recruiting the best talent, and responsible stewardship. To achieve our goals, we have identified several strategic initiatives. The first is to position the IT department as a business partner rather than just a cost center. This requires aligning our foundation with company values. The second initiative focuses on providing IT services and products that are truly needed by our internal customers and stakeholders. We aim to minimize unnecessary costs by ensuring that only essential products are in use. The third initiative involves working closely with the C-level executives, who have expertise in strategies, finance, operations, and technology. Regular budget meetings will be held to establish strong communication and alignment regarding technological needs. The fourth initiative aims to ensure uniformity in hardware and software throughout the company. While software can vary by department, the goal is to have everyone within a department using the same vendor-specific software and hardware. Building on the opportunities identified in our SWOT analysis, our next set of initiatives focuses on expanding our global presence and increasing our online presence through virtualization and cloud hosting. We plan to outsource IT services in various countries to increase our footprint and have IT teams in each region where Accenture operates.
