Overall Status at a glance:
Currently, project deliverables are extremely transparent and easy. However, our group
has experienced difficulty with timely responses, as well as active communication at
times.
What steps have been taken to organize the group:
One team member (project manager) started a Microsoft Teams team to help organize
the group and project deliverables. This was agreed upon via quorum within Canvas at
the beginning of the semester, when the group was actively contributing. Every group
member was notified with one member added to the group after the decision was
made.
Describe the method of communication for the group.
Include frequency of
communication and the extent of full team participation:
The project manager has posted multiple times and worked to ensure everyone is
contributing. We are using Microsoft Teams exclusively for all communication, per group
agreement at the start of the semester. Multiple posts are made each week along with a
weekly Teams video call.
Describe team activities to date:
So far, we have held two group meetings to review the project and discuss roles,
Contract/MOU, and the Group Initial Report.
What’s going well and why:
The project is detailed with clear expectations and instructions, which is a positive.
Additionally, the group is diverse and knowledgeable in a wide range of skill sets to meet
the demands of the project. Hopefully, we can get to a point where our diverse skill sets
are utilized in a balanced and contributable approach that ensures success.

What’s not going well and why:
Expected levels of communication have not been maintained since our first meeting. At
times, communication appears to be positive, consistent, and timely; however, follow-
through afterwards has been less than desirable.
Suggestions/Issues:
One team member has taken the role as group leader and has stressed the importance
of teammates responding to all communications and posts in Teams, even as simple as a
thumbs up on a post to provide notification that said post has been seen. However,
interacting and actively responding to posts and providing feedback and input is the
goal.
Changes from original Group Contract and MOU:
We are setting a weekly meeting time for every Saturday from 11:00am to noon EST. This
varies from us sending a weekly poll for what date/time works best each week.
