LPO Analysis
Current Layout
Lost Pine outfitters utilizes a feedback loop system in both online and in-store however the efficiency in their system presents delays in customer satisfaction and product fulfillment. Currently, LPOs online system works like this; the customer orders their product online and the order is sent to the warehouse. The associate then pulls the item from the shelves and manually updates the inventory and tracks incoming orders on a single computer. Once the item is fulfilled an associate would then take the product to the post office for shipment and obtaining the tracking number. After the associate obtains the tracking number they would manually update the order system that will then update on the customers side; after the package has arrived to the customer the associate will send a thank you card thanking them for their purchase and requesting a review be left on their site for other potential shoppers. In regards to their store front LPO their inventory is drawn directly from the warehouse as customers can order online and pick up their product in the store. LPOs storefront tracking uses a point of sale system, and at the start of each week the manager will collect the information from retail sales and update the warehouse data base. Once the customer picks up their item they will receive a thank you card and a coupon for future purchases which is only available inside the store.
