Did the best I could with the information given, tried to represent the tasks, as well as who was performing them as best as possible. Did not have much to go off of other than the chipotle example. Table below also contains estimates, especially with time, hope this shows that although the information may not be correct, the concepts are understood.

The overall process seems to have bode well for Kitchenware as a company considering its success in the past as well as the present. However, a major recommendation I would have would be to fix the bottleneck. Way too much time is being consumed and the shipping is losing time due to the switching of packaging in with work in process. It is not allowing for the maximum capacity of those limited workers to utilize their labor and activity time towards getting more products to the shipping process. Another suggestion I would have would to hire more workers to specifically take care of the packaging, however you might lose money going towards direct labor. I understand the reasoning behind this method, however after reading the 4 company goals, the one that stood out was “dependable delivery”. Being dependable correlates to being timely. I would invest my resources towards improving the switching of the packaging process along with the efficiency at which the whole process runs in general. Maybe combining some of the tasks or shortening them such as the dividing of all of the products after receiving could also work in maximizing utilization.
