Question 4:
A) The Colesworths Work Health and Safety department did okay in 2 years, but they need to do better. They should make safer work rules because there were more accidents each month in 2021 compared to 2020. The difference between the yers is very significative – more than 6.00.
B) Proactive performance indicator and Outcome indicator.
Question 5:
A)
One way they're different is that the very bad things that happen in an incident, like someone getting hurt or things getting broken, happen because the problem wasn't stopped or fixed quickly enough. For example, if everything goes wrong in an unsafe situation and it's not stopped just in time, it's called an incident, not a near miss, even if nobody gets hurt or nothing gets damaged.
Make a Good Plan: When you're starting something new, like a rule or a project, how you put it into action decides if it will work or not. So, it's smart to have a plan before you start.
Feedbakcs: You can do this formally by talking to people one-on-one or informally by asking them to fill out a survey online.
Find Dangers: This helps the health and safety team understand what might cause a near miss. It also helps them learn how to figure out why things go wrong later when they start the near miss program.
Check Risks: Even though checking risks might also find dangers, it mostly focuses on what bad things could happen because of a near miss, not why it happened.
