Research and review healthcare code of ethics policies to better understand the content provided to employees in an effort to establish the organizations policy on ethical conduct. Your Code of Ethics Policy will be uploaded to the Peer review thread in week 3, where you will submit your own document, and provide feedback to one classmate. Use Peer Review feedback to make any revisions you feel necessary and submit final draft of your policy to the Chalk & Wire link provided. Requirements Your responses should be thorough, well-conceived college-level responses that are grammatically correct. Justify your responses with facts and details from your research and reading. Include an APA-formatted reference page and in-text citations. Write your answers using complete sentences. CODE OF ETHICS Mahogany Meadows Assisted Living Facility ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF PURPOSE: The purpose of this policy is to establish a code of ethics for the administrative staff of Mahogany Meadows Assisted Living Facility. This policy aims to ensure ethical conduct, uphold professional standards, and promote the well-being and safety of our residents. CODE OF ETHICS: Administrative staff members at Mahogany Meadows are expected to demonstrate the highest levels of integrity and honesty in all aspects of their work. They should act ethically, honestly, and transparently, and conduct themselves with professionalism and accountability. CONFIDENTIALITY: Administrative staff members must strictly adhere to healthcare confidentiality requirements and protect the privacy and confidentiality of our residents' personal and medical information. This includes maintaining strict confidentiality of resident records, conversations, and any other sensitive information obtained during the course of their duties. STAFF-PATIENT INTERACTIONS: At Mahogany Meadows, our administrative staff members are committed to providing resident-centered care. They must treat residents with respect, empathy, and compassion, taking into consideration their individual preferences, needs, and cultural backgrounds. CONFLICT OF INTEREST: Administrative staff members should avoid conflicts of interest that may compromise their professional judgment or the best interests of our residents. They must disclose any actual or potential conflicts of interest to their supervisor or the appropriate authority and refrain from engaging in activities that could impair their objectivity or compromise the quality of care provided. STANDARDS OF CONDUCT PROFESSIONALISM : Administrative staff members are expected to maintain a high level of professionalism in their interactions with residents, families, colleagues, and other stakeholders. They should display courtesy, respect, and cultural sensitivity at all times.
