By completing this assessment, you will demonstrate the knowledge required to correctly apply legal requirements to building and construction projects involving residential and low-rise commercial buildings. Assessment Instructions What This is an individual assessment task involving a series of questions. You must answer all questions. How There are a total of fifteen (15) questions in this assessment. Answer ALL questions in the space provided. Where applicable, answer questions in in 30-50 words unless otherwise stated. Where This assessment will be carried out during class time under supervision. Additional Instructions for Students: Performance requirement: Satisfactory (S) performance - able to answer all questions correctly. Not Yet Satisfactory (NYS) performance - unable to answer all questions correctly. You need to achieve satisfactory (S) results in both assessments to be deemed Competent. Renovation Builder A renovation builder with limited registration is authorized to carry out renovation work on existing buildings. Kitchen and Bathroom Builder Builders who focus on the construction or renovation of kitchens and bathrooms, they covers tasks like installing fixtures, cabinetry, and related elements in these areas. Builders specializing in kitchen and bathroom projects may need this limited registration. Carpentry Builder A carpentry builder with limited registration is specifically trained and authorized to carry out carpentry work. They are responsible for framing, formwork, installing timber elements, and other carpentry-related activities. They are required for builders who primarily perform carpentry work and do not engage in other types of building activities. Deck and Patio Builder This limited registration category is for builders who specialize in the construction or renovation of decks and patios. Their task is like designing, building, and finishing outdoor living spaces. Their type of registration for Builders who primarily work on outdoor deck and patio projects may need this limited registration. Fencing Builder Fencing builders with limited registration are authorized to work related to the installation and construction of fences and enclosures. Their job is to measure, cut, and secure fencing materials. Fencing builder limited registration is typically required for builders who specialize in fencing projects and do not engage in other types of building work. Q4.
