Maleka Monono Thursday, November 16 th , 2023 IT 328 Module Four Discussion Post Concurrent Projections and Risk Identification In your discussion post, do the following: 1. Using the triple constraints, discuss at least one factor (schedule, cost, scope) that could be changed as a solution for ensuring that both projects are delivered at the same time. 2. Review the list of project risks in the Project Management spreadsheet Documents. a. Will the solution proposed in Step 1 increase the likelihood or potential severity of any of these risks? b. Identify and describe any new risks raised by the proposed solution. Hey everyone, Among the triple constraint, I feel as though the scope is the most challenging. An increase in scope directly impacts both schedule and cost because they will both have to be altered as well (an increase in scope causes an increase in cost and schedule). In this case, there is a second project assigned, that runs concurrently, and has to be deployed at the same time as the student degree progress project. In the last module, there was an element added to the student degree progress project. It would be best to do without this new element. The student degree progress project (GUI) and development should be kept as simple as possible while meeting the objectives set in the beginning. The new element is not needed for the project to be successful. If anything, I think the solution in step 1 will reduce the potential of any of the risks occurring especially because there has been a cut back on the scope. This way both projects can have enough time to go through the testing phase and fix any arising issues.
