1 Unit 9 Assignment IT262 Certified Ethical Hacking I Eric Clarkson Purdue Global University Professor Nicholas Ray August 8, 2023
2 As a responsible and ethical team, it is critical to adopt a code of conduct to safeguard the security of the bank's customers’ and employees' personal identifying information (PII). The code of conduct should include rules on how to handle sensitive material, the repercussions of breaking the code, and the necessity of secrecy. To guarantee that every member of the team is adhering to the code of conduct, rigorous background checks must be performed before recruiting. This procedure should involve a review of previous employment, schooling, and any criminal background. Additionally, training and workshops should be provided to familiarize the staff with the code of conduct and ensure they understand the importance of adhering to it. There are various actions the team can take to promote the code of conduct while building a group communication dynamic that emphasizes honesty, integrity, and respect. To begin, the team should establish clear lines of communication via which team members can discreetly report any infractions of the code of conduct. This can involve a dedicated individual or team who oversees dealing with any complaints or issues that may occur. Second, the team should meet regularly to discuss any issues or concerns regarding the code of conduct and to allow team members to offer their thoughts and suggestions on how to preserve compliance. To ensure that all team members feel comfortable giving their thoughts, these meetings should be conducted in a respectful and non-judgmental manner.
3 Finally, the team should foster an environment of transparency and openness in which all team members feel comfortable discussing their ideas and concerns. This can be accomplished by encouraging constructive comments and making team members feel appreciated and supported. By following these measures, the team can ensure that the code of conduct is followed, and that customers' and employees' personal identifying information is protected at all times. It is critical to remember that violations of the code of conduct can result in serious penalties, such as job termination and legal action. In addition to protecting PII, adhering to the code of conduct promotes a healthy work environment. When team members feel valued and supported, they are more likely to be productive, engaged, and eager to go above and beyond to ensure the satisfaction of the bank's clients. As a result, the bank's reputation will improve, and customer loyalty will increase. Finally, establishing and enforcing a code of conduct is critical for protecting personally identifiable information and guaranteeing ethical behavior in the workplace. The team may maintain compliance with the code of conduct while promoting honesty, integrity, and respect by completing rigorous background checks, giving training and seminars, establishing clear channels of communication, and developing a culture of transparency and openness.
