Final Project: Executive Summary As the analyst for SNHU Clothing, I think the business needs to upgrade the current system to one that will be more user-friendly and expand when it determines that it is ready to move forward with a broader customer base both in stores and online. The following is the executive review based on the data gathered to help move the SNHU Clothing company further into the future for success. Data Gathering The current system is an Access database, a file that stores database information. It's a Microsoft database management system (DBMS) part of the Microsoft 365 office suite. Access is a system that can be used when a company is small or has a moderate amount of data. Once the data gets too large, the database tables, queries, forms, reports, macros, and modules that are in a single file that have a single unique identifier, such as a customer ID, without a single point of data that is the same across all spreadsheets and data tables that could be housed in other areas linked to the access database to query reports for the executive leadership team. To move forward, the SNHU Clothing company will need to standardize the access database with single data points for each customer and standardize the inventory system to have single data points for each item. Once this is completed, the company can easily move the data into the new CRM and get the process moving forward to expand with clean data and a standard inventory system that will work across different platforms for each department. Reports can be generated when the company needs to keep track and prepare for future business needs. The data in the current system needs to be reviewed before transforming it into a Customer Relationship Manager (CRM), a software platform that helps manage customer interactions and data. As SNHU Clothing Company moves into a larger online data platform, the current DBMS will need help to keep up with the required online data tracking. A CRM will allow for

Business Needs Preparing for the reconstruction of the company database as part of the business needs that the executive leadership has determined. The SNHU Clothing Company recently purchased a retail company that was going out of business. In the transaction, the data that was obtained was unsuccessfully merged into the current database since the recently acquired data was not reviewed and updated to match what the current database has, such as a single customer ID for each customer group so that it merged into the system with no red flags. Since the data was not migrated successfully, the ten SNHU clothing company employees will have more stress added if the data they work with on the front end is not clean, which could lead to a crash in the system due to data inaccuracies. The Data Migration Process is the approach; the project goes through the same key phases. See below for the key phases of the data migration process. Using the process, we can refine the scope, assess the source and target systems, set data standards, estimate the budget, and set realistic timelines. In review, the team will use data migration to reveal and fix the data quality issues that were present in the company that SNHU clothing purchased; as the analysts, the team can work together to assign and dedicate a
