1.
At the beginning of the school year, you created a classroom behavior management plan, and for the most part it has been working well. Lately, however, you’ve noticed a number of students eating candy and chewing gum during class. List two changes that you could make to your behavior plan to address this increasingly problematic behavior.
*I think that the best way to address this behavior would be to have a meeting with the class and let them know that you are going to be adding a new rule to their list of classroom rules. I would let them know that lately you’ve noticed a lot of them chewing gum and eating candy in class and go over with them why it isn’t oaky to do so. I would let them know that the new rule would be that there will be no eating in class unless rewarded by the teacher with a piece of candy. Secondly, I would tell them that to go along with this new rule, you will be implementing that they spit out any gum or candy when entering the classroom. 2.
Most teachers create procedures for routine activities (e.g., walking in the hallway, going to the restroom). Just as important are procedures for less-frequent activities (e.g., attending an assembly, responding to a fire or tornado drill). Select a less-frequent activity and write out a new procedure to address it. *Procedures for a fire drill:
Line up quickly and quietly
Last student in line, turn out the lights and close the door
Follow your teacher closely and walk with your arms to your side
Listen for the teacher to call roll and respond when your name is called
Continue facing your teacher and do not turn around
Once all clear is given, turn around to face the building
Follow the teacher quickly and quietly
Return to your desk and sit quietly
3.
You developed a step-by-step crisis behavior plan to address serious problem behaviors that might arise in the classroom. Now consider what you would do if a behavior crisis

occurred while your students were a) in an assembly or b) on the playground. Create a separate crisis plan to address one of these situations. *If there was a ever a crisis behavior displayed on the playground, I would first gather the students that were not involved and send them inside with another teacher on duty. They would be sent to a classroom facing away from the playground. I would enforce a CPI hold and would radio for the principal and on duty sheriff to come to the playground. Once the situation on the playground has been handled by the principal and the sheriff, I would make sure the parents have been notified by the office and have my students return to my classroom. 4.
You created an action plan to effectively implement your behavior management plan. Midway through the school year, though, two new students are assigned to your class.
a.
How would you introduce these students to your classroom behavior management plan? *I would start off the day with a morning meeting and introduce the new students to the rest of the class. We would do some “getting
to know you” activities and have everyone warm up to each other. I would then go over the rules and procedures with them as a class. This will give each student a refresher on the rules and procedures and will be a good way of introducing the rules to the new students without singling them out. I think it would also be a great idea to partner the new students with a group or a buddy
for the week, so they get used to all the new procedures and rules with a friend. b.
How would you introduce their parents to the classroom behavior management plan? *When the new students arrive, I would send home a “Meet the Teacher” sheet introducing yourself and letting them know more about you. Along with that, I would send home a list of the classroom rules that are in place and a list of procedures that the students are expected to follow. This will keep them informed on what is going on in the classroom.

5.
To complete the following activity, you will need to revisit (though not change) your classroom behavior management plan. Imagine you are teaching a 50-minute class and your students engage in the behaviors listed in the table below during that one period. Note: We recommend that you read through all of the behaviors once before beginning the activity.
a.
In the table below, indicate how you would address each of these behaviors. First check whether you would deliver a positive or negative consequence. Then write down the consequence you would deliver.
*Emily: Positive Consequence; Emily would be told “thank you” for following the classroom procedures and would be given a smile.
Caleb: Positive Consequence; I would smile and tell Caleb “Thank you so much Caleb for turning in your homework on time today!” Sometimes, we don’t always see what goes on at home. Caleb could have been embarrassed as to what really happened with his homework and felt like he had to lie.
Drew: Negative Consequence; First and foremost, Drew will be made to help Nicole pick up her glasses and help her up. Then, Drew would be sent to the principal’s office for intentionally trying to harm another student.
Nicole: Positive Consequence; I would verbally praise Nicole and tell her “Great job for solving the math problem correctly!”
Johnathon: Negative Consequence; I would tell Johnathon that he needs to raise his hand before speaking and then remind him of our classroom rules.
I would then pull him aside after the lesson and remind him that when the teacher is teaching a lesson, he needs to stay focused on what is being taught so he doesn’t get behind.
Jason: I would tell Jason that for right now he needs to sit down during the lesson and that I would be happy to go over his IEP with him during recess

Can I get assistance with the following scenario
Sally and Sam have recently purchased from the Edgars Red Hanger sale. However, both had encountered different levels of customer service. Sally was assisted by a member of staff and was able to get the style and size that she needed. Sam on the other hand walked around the store for a period of time just looking for someone to help but was unable to get any assistance.
Based on these experiences, this has impacted on the way they will make future purchases.
Provide a brief report to Edgars to outline the importance of relationship marketing with the above scenario in mind. Provide examples to support/justify your answer.

The company has continued to grow and profit, but the CEO has asked company leaders to examine expenses to ensure that the company is financially stable going forward. As the Director of Human Resources, Jane Smith is examining opportunities to cut employee-related expenses while maintaining employee satisfaction and morale. However, Director of Finance Ann Lane is pushing some cost-cutting measures that Jane thinks may have a negative effect. Generals Construction employs over 100 full-time construction workers and about 40 other workers that include construction supervisors, office staff, and management. Right now, all employees receive the same basic employee-benefits package, which includes a health insurance plan fully paid by the company and a generous vacation allowance. CASE DISCUSSION
Wambui had been managing the budget department for Faida Bank. Because the work experience gained here was useful, much of the budget analysis work done in the department was performed by a group of management trainees. The trainees tended to be recent college graduates who were ambitious; they expected the budget work experience to be the pathway into the prestigious auditing department.
Wambui managed under the assumption that by maintaining an open-door policy her employees would bring any problems to her attention. As a result, she remained in her office and seldom met with the trainees. Instead she would peruse the budget reports they submitted and return them to her secretary without comment.
The reports often bore numerous errors which the trainees would be expected to make but which Wambui’s quick persual of the documents did not catch. The department heads throughout Faida Bank who received the erroneous reports would complain directly to the trainee who…
