Perspectives on New Hire Orientation in the Eastern Market As the global head trainer for a major American automaker, the recent company's development into the Eastern market necessitated the creation of a recruit orientation program with a cross- culturally approach. A significant portion of the recruit orientation training is dedicated to comprehending eastern and western country cultural values and workplace subtleties and the ability to customize the material to bridge the gap between the two Eastern countries, if not all. A high- power distance culture exists in marketplaces (Bellér-Hann, 2017). This basically indicates that they need to consider the Eastern market culture when making decisions about things. Training programs are highly structured and regulated environments in which learning activities take place are well- considered, primarily achieved through practical application, and are completed entirely internally. Careful thought is required to successfully fit into this Eastern society. Training must be contextualized to meet their value systems and organizational cultures. One method to accomplish this is to structure the program in such a way that it is globally integrated. Furthermore, it would be necessary to convert the program into the Eastern markets' most widely spoken languages The program can be tailored to the country in which it is implemented, such as China, Singapore, or Japan. Another technique to make the orientation program more relevant to the Eastern market is to obtain buy-in from important individuals and stakeholders across the various organizations implemented (Melton & Hartline, 2013). Once you have their acceptance and approval, the lower tiers will be affected. 2.
