Subject: Additional POS Attached is my proposal for adding an additional point of sale station for Sole Perfection. We strive to be the best option in town to get quality shoes and I believe that we have proved that to the community. As we grow our needs grow as well. Gone are the days where one pc and point of sale program would suffice. I have been with Sole Perfection since its inception in 2007. I was there on day one entering every single product into the point-of-sale system. I started out as just a sales associate and over the years have been promoted into the manager position and over the years, I have observed how various things have worked or not worked. I think that the point-of-sale program that we have now works fine but I think that it is time to expand and have two registers. As we continue to grow we are seeing more people each day and it would be nice to not have a line of people waiting to check out which can be achieved by adding another register. Thank you for taking time to review this proposal and for considering it. I have scheduled a follow up on Wednesday October 18
th
, 2023 at 2:00pm to discuss any questions you have and to
outline the next steps. If you have any questions or concerns please contact me at jessica.hall@kazco.biz
or by phone at (605)559-0359.
Executive Summary
The following proposal plans to outline and present the need for an additional point-of sale terminal and program. The store can benefit from adding another station to help with various things. We are continuing to grow, and we will need to make these changes in order to keep up with that growth. As of right now we are currently running a single pc to take care of everything that we do in the store. We use this computer to check out customers, order new inventory, check stock, and enter new inventory when it comes in. There are times that one computer just isn’t enough. This will benefit Sole Perfection in many ways. We will be more efficient when it comes to new stock arriving. There will be less stress because we won’t have to feel like we have to hurry to finish putting in new items or processing an invoice because we need that computer to ring up a
customer.
I suggest we implement this in a very quick and easy three step process. Once fully implemented we can reap the benefits of having the second computer with the point-of-sale system.

Preliminary plans are underway for construction of a new stadium for a major league baseball team. City officials question the number and profitability of the luxury corporate boxes planned for the upper deck of the stadium. Corporations and selected individuals may purchase a box for $300,000. The fixed construction cost for the upper-deck area is estimated to be $4,500,000, with a variable cost of $150,000 for each box constructed.
a. What is the breakeven point for the number of luxury boxes in the new stadium?
b. Preliminary drawings for the stadium show that space is available for the construction of up to 50 luxury boxes. Promoters indicate that buyers are available and that all 50 could be sold if constructed. What is your recommendation concerning the construction of luxury boxes? What profit is anticipated?

Levi-Strauss Co manufactures clothing. The quality control department measures weekly values of different suppliers for the percentage difference of waste between the layout on the computer and the actual waste when the clothing is made (called run-up). The data is in the following table, and there are some negative values because sometimes the supplier is able to layout the pattern better than the computer ("Waste run up," 2013).

That equivalent degree of solace applies to room conveniences, too. AAA jewel appraisals are separated by the level of the lodging outperforming client assumptions. Four-precious stone inns are refined, upscale, and up-to-date all through the whole lodging, including the visitor rooms. Five-precious stone inns give extreme extravagance and refined facilities. rooms in four-star lodgings including updated conveniences, for example, huge sovereign or lord beds, additional seating, pad top beddings, smaller than normal bars, and name-brand shower items. Five-star lodgings exceed everyone's expectations with curiously large marble or rock restrooms, twofold vanities,…

A product at the Jennings Company enjoyed reasonable sales volumes, but its contributions to profits were disappointing. Last year, 17,500 units were produced and sold. Use both graphic and algebraic approaches to get your answer.b. If sales were not expected to increase, by how much would Jennings have to reduce their variable cost to break even?c. Jennings believes that a $1 reduction in price will increase sales by 50 percent. Is this enough for Jennings to break even? If not, by how much would sales have to increase?d. Jennings is considering ways to either stimulate sales volume or decrease variable cost. Management believes that either sales can be increased by 30 percent or that variable cost can be reduced to 85 percent of its current level.
