SHORTENED TITLE UP TO 50 CHARACTERS 2 Organizational culture is a critical aspect of any business, and its alignment with an organization's mission, vision, values, and strategies can significantly impact its success. In this reflection, I will describe a workplace situation in which I felt motivated to accomplish a task and one where I felt unmotivated. Additionally, I will explain the importance of an organization's mission, vision, psychological climate, values, and ethics and how they relate to its strategies, and how these elements should shape the organizational culture and develop it for change. Firstly, there was a time in my workplace when I was tasked with implementing a new system for tracking customer data. The organization's vision of providing excellent customer service motivated me to work hard to implement this new system successfully. The organization's focus on customer satisfaction and the importance placed on data management helped me feel motivated to accomplish the task at hand. Furthermore, the organization's mission of "providing top-notch customer service" also helped to ensure that I was motivated throughout the process. On the other hand, I have also experienced a time when I felt unmotivated in a workplace situation. This situation arose when the organization was going through a difficult time, and there was a lack of direction and focus on how to overcome the challenges. The organization's vision and mission were unclear, and there was a lack of alignment between the organization's values and its strategies, which contributed to my lack of motivation. This situation also highlighted the importance of alignment between an organization's culture, vision, values, and strategies. An organization's mission, vision, psychological climate, values, and ethics are critical components that contribute to its culture and help to shape its strategies. According to Manning and Curtis (2022), "an organization's culture is a reflection of its shared values and beliefs," and its mission and vision "provide the organization with direction and focus."
