Professional Organizations help fill the gaps between skills individuals have and the skills required to perform the job(s). Professional Organizations also assist with setting the requirements that is being requested to complete the job. Professional Organizations also assits with networking. Professional Organization 3 Professional Organizations Review The two professional organizations that are being reviewed are the School Superintendent Association and the Digital Promise organizations. Each professional organization has its benefits and assists with the advancement of a individual’s career. These organizations assists individuals with the emerging technology and research trends. The AASA places emphasis on advocating reasonable access for every student to receive the highest possible quality public education at the same time that they are creating and supporting school leaders ( AASA | the School Superintendents Association , n.d.). Just as with every professional organization, there is a target audience. The target audience for the AASA is educational leaders. The AASA assists educational leaders with resources, networking and advocacy opportunities for its members. The AASA thrives on being committed to assisting and servivg educational leaders that specifically work in public education. The Digital Promise organization emphasizes shaping the future in education and learning. The Digital Promise advances education through integrating technology, practice and research. The Digital Promise has a wider range for their outreach. Their target audiences are educators, researchers, technology leaders and communities ( Digital Promise , n.d.). The Digital Promise focuses on real-world scenarios that educators deal with. One of the major things that the Digitak Promise has worked on is increasing students’ access to high- speed internet. They have also helped adult learners with the opportunity to earn micro-credentials.

Professional Organization 4 Both, the AASA and the Digital Promise, has a variety of opportunities for educators and educational leaders. To assist with the advancement ofeducators and educational leaders, they provide literature and newsletters to members informed with what’s going on with their organization. The AASA has a foundation of advocacy, representation and networking and the Digital Promise has a foundation in networking and technology. Technology can be used to assist educators and students with learning opportunities.
