Emergency Management
2
When an emergency or crisis occurs people want results as soon as possible. When an emergency occurs police are notified, ems dispatched and so on. All of these agencies are there to assist with the emergency. People are so grateful for the response no one thinks about the process to which the agencies are notified and what to do once they are notified. Emergency services such as police and ems are very important and so is emergency management that sets a plan for what to do when an emergency occurs. Emergency management is extremely important. It is essential that all personnel are aware of emergency procedures selected by emergency management. There are some emergency situations when the response to the emergency were excellent and others when they were not. A shooting in Chardon Ohio in 2012 was an emergency situation that received excellent emergency response
which means excellent emergency management.
Background
In Chardon, Ohio 2012 there was a massive shooting. T.J Lane entered a high school and shot up students sitting in the cafeteria. T.J Lane had shot 6 students before he ran out of the cafeteria. At 7:38 a.m a teacher had dialed 911 and informed them of the active shooter in the school. In less than 12 minutes all injured students were transported to a local walmart where helicopters picked up the severely injured students and took them to local hospital. When
the audio was played from the 911 phone call it was said that things were reported in a calm manor as they were aware of what to do in case of an emergency. When police arrived on the scene they swept the building and notified it was secure and allowed EMS in to attend to the injured students. While EMS attended to the students police then searched the school for the shooter. Everything was handled in an efficient manner. The injured students were removed and
sent to receive medical treatment in a fast and efficient way. Emergency agencies were informed in a very fast way and responded to the emergency in a fast and efficient way to ensure those that were injured received medical attention and to prevent any further problems.

Congratulations! You now have completed your nursing degree and passed all exams to become a registered nurse (RN)! You take a job in a large hospital working in the Labor and Delivery Unit. RNs typically specialize in one or two different areas in a hospital and have certified nursing assistants (CNAs) working with them to help with patient care and comfort. On any given day, certain areas of the hospital might be busier than others, requiring CNAs to float from one department to another as needs arise. Suppose it's a slow day in the Labor and Delivery Unit, and your manager has 6 CNAs scheduled but only needs 3.

Scenario: A city’s administration isn’t driven by the goal of maximizing revenues or profits but instead looks at improving the quality of life of its residents. Many American cities are confronted with high traffic and congestion. Finding parking spaces, whether in the street or a parking lot, can be time-consuming and contribute to congestion. Some cities have rolled out data-driven parking space management to reduce congestion and make traffic more fluid.
You’re a data analyst working for a mid-size city that has anticipated significant increments in population and car traffic. The city is evaluating whether it makes sense to invest in infrastructure to count and report the number of parking spaces available at the different parking lots downtown. This data would be collected and processed in real-time, feeding an app that motorists can access to find parking space availability in different parking lots throughout the city.
