A reflection on what I learned about communication, collaboration, and conflict resolution strategies during my group work. When working with a group communication, collaboration and conflict resolution are key and
essential. Communication is more of the critical part. Without communication there is no guidance. You must be clear and concise when communicating to others. Listening and being mindful to their ideas is important as a leader. Collaborations is also important and essential when working in a group setting. Being able to work together is important to reach a common goal within the group project. Lastly identifying and resolving conflict resolutions strategies is key when working in a group setting. It is important to have strategies in place when a conflict does arise to address it right away instead letting it drag out and nothing gets resolved. Not everyone will agree on the same things when working in a group setting. Each person needs to listen to one another and be patient. Working together as a team and talking through issues will help the team grow and work better together in the future. Did you change your mind at any point during the project, based on feedback from others?
I have a great team to work with. I have never changed my mind when working with them. Sometimes a disagreement may come about, but we discuss it further and come to a resolution right away. We do not let these types of issues drag out. When we have team projects, at the end when all is complete, we have a meeting to discuss the outcome and what we could’ve done different. This has helped us stay successful in the projects we create for training. Was it easy to share ideas freely and come to a consensus on a common goal or solution?
