Self-assessments analyze your performance and identify areas for growth. Customize criteria to fit your goals. Reflect on strengths, weaknesses, values, and accomplishments to plan
for the future. My name is Sher Azam Khan, and I have been working as a civil engineer in the construction field for the past twenty years. I have gained extensive knowledge and expertise in
this field. However, self-analysis is a continuous process that helps us to improve ourselves. I plan to use various self-assessment tools such as interest, personality, and ability tests better to
understand my strengths, weaknesses, and interests. These tools will provide me with a more comprehensive understanding of myself.
I am aware of my strengths and weaknesses. Some of my strengths include being a fast learner, gaining knowledge and experience using our company's content management system, and effectively training others to use it. I also possess strong problem-solving and critical-
thinking skills, which I have used to brainstorm new marketing strategies that have exceeded clients' expectations. However, I sometimes struggle to express my opinions during meetings due to a fear that my ideas may not be helpful enough. Therefore, I need to work on expressing
my thoughts more effectively during meetings. One of my greatest achievements is managing the Riyadh Metro project, which is worth 21 billion dollars and is one of the most advanced metro projects in the world. Working on this project has helped me grow in my career.
After gathering all the necessary information, my next step is to examine my self-
assessments. I will carefully analyze the results of each test and look for any recurring patterns or themes. Additionally, I will reflect on my personal experiences and accomplishments to better understand my skills and abilities. My aim is to use this information to create a comprehensive career portfolio highlighting my strengths and achievements. The portfolio will detail my education, work experience, skills, and accomplishments. It will help me better position myself for future opportunities in the construction industry. Through self-analysis, I aim to gain a better understanding of myself, which will enable me to make informed decisions in my personal and professional life.

“Carter Cleaning Company”
The Career Planning Program
Career planning has always been a pretty low-priority item for Carter Cleaning, since "just getting workers to come to work and then keeping them honest is enough of a problem," as Jack likes to say. Yet Jennifer thought it might not be a bad idea to give some thought to what a career planning program might involve for Carter. Many of their employees had been with them for years in dead end jobs, and she frankly felt a little badly for them: "Perhaps we could help them gain a better perspective on what they want to do," she thought. And she definitely believed that the store management group needed better career direction if Carter Cleaning was to develop and grow.
