My name is Makayla Peterson. I am from Richmond, Virginia. I have a son who just turned two in August and a three-year-old dog named Melo. I obtained a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management Engineering Technology and am working towards my master’s degree in Marketing. I currently work as a civil engineer. Within my position as a Civil Engineer
/ Project Manager for a local city in Virginia; I have to go to various task force meetings, where I
have to obtain and review different transportation information to provide to the various groups throughout the city to help uplift the improvement. To aid me with figuring out what the surrounding neighborhoods would like I have increased the amount of social I use and reached out to City official pages to take polls to receive feedback. I believe this course will increase my knowledge of strategies that will help with marketing my department to all neighborhoods in the city. Since reviewing the course work and outcomes for this course Strategic Digital Marketing, I am looking forward to learning in more depth about budgets and timelines. I believe
these two elements would help me with the daily projects that I manage. I also am interested in digging into KPIs and Analytics Tools next week; I have learned about the two topics in the previous course but can learn more about them. The components of module one consist of an overview of digital marketing where it stems from and what elements will help create a change in digital marketing. After finding further research I have a blog from Maryville University outlining digital marketing, components
of digital marketing, marketing tools that can aid with research, and elements of the future of digital marketing. For example, the blog states “Google Analytics is one of the most powerful tools for helping digital marketers understand their audiences. Reports can be generated that reveal descriptive, behavioral, interaction, and attitudinal data in great depth”(Hurtado, 2023).
This blog can become a great aid for my classmates and me if there may need to be another possible source to get quality information from.

The company hires independent contractors to perform a variety of customer-focused tasks, such as complaint resolution, for its client, the financial services industry.
We get to know all of our contractors because, as the chief of staff puts it, "vetting of such contractors is very important because of the nature of our client's business. We've even watched contractors develop. We have one contractor with us today who started at 16 and is now a manager at 26."
The contractors are introduced to more than just the chief. Some of the contractors have been working with a customer for so long that if they leave, the crew must continue.
This company has 4,000 contractors and 226 full-time employees, so succession planning must take both into consideration.
When working with a contractor, it usually recommends to its financial services clients that they add the contractor to their at-risk registry.
The client will hire a full-time employee, and the contractor will learn new skills.

One of the most difficult obstacles encountered by the hospital is finding and retaining qualified nurses. The annual turnover rate among nurses is nearly 100 percent. A few of the nurses are long-term employees who are either committed to County General or attached to the community. Employment patterns suggest that many of the nurses who are hired stay for only about six months.
