SNHU 107 Module Six Journal Template Complete all parts of this template by replacing the bracketed text with your responses. Submit for grading and feedback. 1. Why do you think feedback from others is important? Feedback from others tells me how someone else views the topic. Feedback can either make you word harder or discourage depends on how it’s taken. 2. Describe your perceptions regarding receiving feedback. How does receiving feedback make you feel? How can you improve your reaction to feedback? In many situations others opinions may help a lot. I like getting feedback but sometimes if it’s not what I expected it may upset me. To help with the reaction to the feedback I would need to ask myself the how’s and why’s to the feedback. 3. Describe how you can use past feedback to inform how you give and receive feedback now. What have you learned from past experiences in which you received feedback? In the past I have received helpful feedback as well as some that was out of jealousy. There are lots of parts to someone else’s opinion. If is a genuine response I will accept the constructive criticism and move forward to correct or improve. 4. Describe the impact that diversity awareness has on giving and receiving feedback when communicating and collaborating with others. What problems could you run into if you do not understand diversity awareness when communicating and collaborating with others? Diversity awareness is a major factor because all cultures have their view on things. So instead of trying to politically helpful, we must work hard at trying to be culturally sensitive. 5. Describe how you can use strategies for interacting with diverse groups of people as you give and receive feedback. The most important is asking questions, get to know who you are interacting with, be understanding of their opinion and lastly respect that you will not always agree.
