1.
What is your preferred receptive learning style? Choose from the following (you may choose more than one):
Read/write learning style
▸
Visual/graphic learning style ▸
Auditory/verbal learning style ▸
Tactile/kinesthetic learning style
▸
How will understanding your learning style help you support your success inside and outside of the classroom?
[My preferred receptive learning styles are read/write and Visual /graphic learning styles. It helps me realize that I am more of a watching and learning type of student. And when I read materials and take notes it helps me retain the information that I am learning about. ]
2.
Identify a problem-solving technique or method you have used in a previous situation and explain how it worked for you. Identify how these methods might look different in diverse cultures or different fields of work.
[When my truck wouldn’t start tonight, and I couldn’t figure out why it wouldn’t stay running I had to use the trial-and-error problem solving technique. I did this by checking the terminals to make sure they were tight, and then to try to jump the battery if it still wouldn’t start. Although this method worked out for me in this situation, it may not work for others.]
3.
How do you plan to stay organized or prioritize your SNHU study time?
[By creating a planner to schedule out my time for the week to make sure I get all or my class assignments and other priorities throughout the day accomplished efficiently. I will
also create goals for myself and plan out certain milestones to help me work towards achieving them.]
4.
List the five habits of successful SNHU students. Refer to the “5 Habits of Successful SNHU Students” infographic linked in the Module Two Resources section.
[Prepare, Organize, Work, Evaluate, and Rethink. Also referred to as P.O.W.E.R.]
5.
Choose two of the five habits of successful SNHU students that you feel would be most helpful in prioritizing your study time while at SNHU and explain why. Refer to the “5 Habits of Successful SNHU Students” infographic linked in the Module Two Resources section.
[I feel like preparing and organizing would be the most helpful habits for me in achieving
my success as a student. You ask why? Well for one I have never been one to prepare
for anything, and I feel like this has caused my schedule to be somewhat chaotic. I get bogged down with these tasks that others like to project onto me because I am more of a-spur-of-the-moment type of person. And most of the time it becomes very stressful for me. I am going to focus on correcting this habit and preparing a schedule to help to prepare myself for whatever my priorities are and completing them with little to no stress. For my second habit, organization has also been a not-so-great habit for me in the past. I believe that if I work on my organization skills it will also help with my preparation habits. They kind of work together and I feel that this will help me in my academic success and be healthier for me in the end. Everyone knows stress can be harmful to your health.

The Job Description
Based on her review of the stores, Jennifer concluded that one of the first matters
she had to attend to involved developing job descriptions for her store managers.
As Jennifer tells it, her lessons regarding job descriptions in her basic management
and HR management courses were insufficient to convince her of the pivotal role job
descriptions actually play in the smooth functioning of an enterprise. Many times
during her first few weeks on the job, Jennifer found herself asking one of her store
managers why he was violating what she knew to be recommended company
policies and procedures. Repeatedly, the answers were either "Because didn't know it
was my job" or "Because I didn't know that was the way we were supposed to do it."
Jennifer knew that a job description, along with a set of standards and procedures
that specified what was to be done and how to do it, would go a long way toward
alleviating this problem.
In general, the store…

Improve the instructional effectiveness from the below passage by describing a formative assessment the teacher could use to guide adjustments to instruction.
