This week’s discussion board discusses the integrated marketing communication (IMC) strategy. I will be honest; it took me a bit to understand what IMC was about. In essence, a company uses different channels for marketing its brand, either online or offline (Doorley & Garcia, 2020). The company I will use as an example is Leaf Shave. Leaf Shave is a shaving company whose unique attribute is that it is eco-friendly. They use 100% recycled material in their products and no plastic. The razors and
blades are metal (Leaf Shave, n.d.) There are a few ways that they implement IMC online.
The social media channels that Leaf Shave uses are Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and Twitter. Potential customers can also sign up for emails to receive deals and other promotional information. Each social media channel hyperlinks to a Linkpop link, a hub of essential links that customers can use to know more about Leaf Shave. One thing the company does effectively is that they answer all the questions that consumers have and have a friendly demeanor when replying to negative comments. On Instagram, they have giveaways and inform their followers to visit the link they have in their bio to learn more about the company. They also promote to customers that they may get good deals if they subscribe to their emails. The way they interconnect their Instagram followers to different channels can help build the company’s brand (BBRChannel, 2012). They also have many TikTok videos that go viral, which benefits the company.
There are a few things that Leaf Shave could improve on with its IMC. The first thing they could do is promote its Twitter profile since it has the least followers of all the social media pages they use. They can do this by adding it to the company’s Linkpop page and recommending their Twitter page to its
other followers. The other thing they can do is have all channels interconnected rather than just a few. References

In the world of marketing technology has been seen as just a means to an end. This article explains that technology is not just a means to an end, but it shapes our society. Showing that most companies in the world today are more focused on their brand and trying to understand the customer rather than using their technology to their advantage as they just hide behind their brand persona. They also failed to recognize the true value of the product that they are selling since they are so focused on their brand and image to customers. Technology is a more powerful tool than most marketers realize they tend to influence how people and act or self-identities and interact with their community. Showing that technology is more of an active force rather than something that is just consumed.
Throughout the article it gave a couple different instances on products that were created that seemed minimal at first but now your average consumer cannot live without it. The two main examples that were…

The purpose of this assignment is to have students relate to marketing from their everyday observations and interactions by making the connection between what they do in practice and the underlining marketing principle that is at work. Marketing is not an abstract topic. It is a very relatable practice that most people interact with at some time or another in the normal course of their daily lives. We are constantly being bombarded by many marketing messages, programmes and activities. Whether we visit a store to make a purchase, browse the shopping mall/plaza to view the many products being offered by different merchants, turn on our TV or radio to view our favourite programme, we interact with several marketing activities. Some are subtle and we may not notice them, others are more overt and in “our face”. The way we interact with these marketing stimuli can ignite a chain of emotions that may eventually result in us buying or using a product or service to fulfil one or more needs…
