Discussion 2: How Global Mega-trends Evolve? The healthy living mega-trend is one of the most important and influential trends shaping the global market today. Consumers are becoming increasingly focused on their health and well-being, and they are demanding products and services that can help them achieve their health goals. This trend is being driven by a number of factors, including rising obesity rates, increasing awareness of the link between diet and disease, and the growing popularity of preventive healthcare (Euromonitor International, 2016). As a result of this trend, we have seen a surge in the development and launch of new products and services that are designed to help consumers live healthier lives. These products and services range from wearable fitness trackers to healthy meal delivery services to plant-based food alternatives. In addition to these existing products and services, there are a number of new products and services that are currently in development and have the potential to hit the global market soon and capitalize on the healthy living mega-trend. One area of development is personalized nutrition. Personalized nutrition is an approach that involves using genetic and other data to create personalized meal plans and supplement recommendations. This approach is still in its early stages of development, but it has the potential to revolutionize the way we eat. Another area of development is gut health. Gut health is becoming increasingly important in the eyes of consumers, as they are becoming more aware of the link between gut health and overall health and well-being. This is leading to a growing demand for products and services that can help to improve gut health, such as probiotic supplements and fermented foods. These are just a few examples of the many new products and services that are currently in development and have the potential to hit the global market soon and capitalize on the healthy living mega-trend.
