6-1 Homework Data Visualization Akyah Leak-Williams
Jeff Haddox
MKT 618
October 29.2023
Audience Organizations can use data visualization to find critical data and information that will help them assess where they are succeeding or where they need to make improvements. A business can use presentations to help people understand the dataset even if they are not involved by visualizing it with charts and graphs. Senior leadership, comprising the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), Chief
Executive Officer (CEO), Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and Chief Operating Officer (COO), is the fictitious target audience for this visualization. Involving the VP of sales would also be advantageous, enabling them to comprehend the areas we can advance and revert to. Each person
in this audience is essential to the way the organization runs. Their main duties consist of the following:
Chief Marketing Officer (CMO): A CMO, or chief marketing officer, is a corporate executive at the C-level who oversees organizational activities related to developing, promoting, and providing valuable offerings to clients, customers, or business associates. Their main duties are to boost sales and enable expansion by developing comprehensive marketing plans that raise brand awareness and provide the business with a competitive edge. Customer outreach and corporate advertising fall under the purview of the CMO. Chief Executive Officer (CEO): The CEO is the highest-ranking executive in a company and is primarily responsible for overseeing the management of the company's resources and major corporate decisions.
Chief Financial Officer (CFO): The CFO is the senior executive in charge of all business financial decisions and actions. In addition to monitoring cash flow and doing thorough financial
planning, their duties also include assessing the organization's financial strengths and weaknesses
and determining the best course of action for remediation. Chief Operating Officer (COO): Supervising the daily administrative and operational activities of
a company falls within the responsibility of a senior executive. While the CEO is in charge of all communications with the outside world, the chief operating officer is frequently regarded as second in command and is responsible for carrying out duties like internal affairs.
Vice President (VP) of Sales: The vice president of sales is an executive who is in charge of motivating the sales force to reach or exceed predetermined sales targets. Their main duties include developing and overseeing the budget for the sales department, coming up with and implementing sales strategies, and hiring and training team members.
Internal Factors
The information serves as a representation of the business's and its products' performance and a roadmap for comprehending crucial organizational functions. The CEO and COO evaluate the data to ascertain how well each market is doing and to determine the most effective way to steer company operations toward increased profitability. Using the information that best fits the current flow, the chief financial officer (CFO) would use the data to incorporate financial strategies. After that, the CMO would make use of the data set to specifically target underperforming markets and create marketing plans focused on the shortfall. Together with the CMO, the VP of sales would guide his team in the direction indicated by the visualizations.
The
year-over-year analysis provides a sales and growth graphic that sheds light on the organization's operations. These variables are suggestive of a number of internal variables, including product

Tufte's argument that the space shuttle Challenger disaster was a direct result of the poorly displayed information. This example of the possible consequences of poor data display is certainly extreme. But similarly, poor data displays are an everyday occurrence in many organizations in the world and lead to mistakes; missed opportunities; and the loss of time, money, and sometimes, life or limb.
the development of new ways of visualizing information is an active and exciting area of current research. However, to properly and effectively apply these new methods, one must first develop an awareness of where and how information is currently being displayed badly.
Find an example of a poor information display that is currently in use in a business organization. This can be a chart that doesn't include all the information needed to draw a correct conclusion from the data presented, one that hides the important information behind a clutter of irrelevant data, one that forces incorrect…

Case for study. Mark Hobson is an internal auditor employed by Comstock Industries. He is nearing completion of an audit of the
Avil Division conducted during the first five weeks of the year. The Avil Division is one of three manufacturing
divisions in Comstock and manufactures inventories to supply about 50 percent of Comstock’s sales. In addition to
the manufacturing divisions, Comstock has two marketing divisions (domestic and international) and a technical
service division that offers worldwide technical support. Each customer is assigned to the most suitable
manufacturing division, which functions as the supplier for that customer. The manufacturing division then approves
the customer’s credit, ships against orders obtained by the sales representatives, and collects the customer
receivables when due. This allows order-to-order monitoring of customer credit limits against customer orders
received.

Paraphrase this one. Analyze and elaborate in 97 words.
Before venturing into the realm of predictive analytics, it is imperative for organizations to have distinct objectives or problems awaiting resolution. Without well-defined goals, the process of data mining may culminate in a misallocation of valuable resources. Beginning with a generalized approach—where all available data is indiscriminately mined—might lead astray. The true value of predictive analysis emerges from targeted inquiries into known issues.
