Overview of Survey
The study aimed to explore the perspectives of various individuals on whether teleworking is as efficient as coming into an office. It sought to identify the demographic most impacted by the capability to telework. The research focused on engaging with administrative personnel aged 18 to 65. It involved querying both male and female participants to understand their views. The survey conducted interviews with 55 individuals. The questionnaire included a total of six questions, with four being yes/no type questions and two requiring numerical answers. The yes/no questions posed were as follows: - Are you male or female?
- Do you have a home office?
- Do you ever telework from home?
- Do you work better teleworking as you do in your office?
I employed a stratified sampling strategy for this study, recognizing that while it may not be the most sophisticated technique, it is practical and feasible. To ensure that all age groups are covered, I would separate the subgroups based on age ranges. After that, I would use random sampling within those subgroups. The results would be affected if we didn't sample based on age
range and the majority of the survey respondents were younger. Compared to older generations, the majority of younger generations are more tech-savvy and more at ease using it. Findings and Results
The initial inquiry was regarding the respondent's gender. The accompanying graph
3
indicated that there were more females than males who responded to the survey. Males made up 45% and females 55%.
Question 1: Are you Male or Female?
Male
Female
The subsequent question inquired whether participants had an office in their home. It was
quite intriguing to observe that almost half of the participants do not have a home office.
Question 2: Do you have a home office?
No
Yes
The third question was asking if they ever telework from home and again the results were
very close to half. Question 3: Do you ever telework from home?
Yes
No

When asked if they work better teleworking the same as in their office, the data showed an almost equal split again of 49% and 51%. Question 4: Do you work better teleworking as you do in your office?
Yes
No
Questions 5 & 6
5. What is your yearly income?
6. What is your age?
5
In the statistical analysis, the median salary was $39,258.50 while the median age was 23 years old. The survey's findings are intriguing due to the breakdown of salaries by gender and age. Experience typically comes with age, and experience equals a higher salary. Salaries for administrative jobs will vary greatly depending on the type of job and degree, though. Salary data from this survey shows that salaries vary widely depending on age. In general, the older sample's income is around the median. The fact that women typically earn higher salaries than men made this interesting. The most intriguing thing to note is that while men are primarily paid in the median range, women make up the majority of the lower salary range as well.
Analysis of Results
The survey results surprised me; there was insufficient data to draw firm conclusions about whether working remotely would be preferable to working in an office. It is difficult to say
which answer would be preferable because most are nearly equal. Limitations and Constraints of the Study
While the number of participants in the study appeared adequate, there was potential to gather more comprehensive data. The distribution of responses might have varied, particularly if there were more specific questions asked, which could have led to different outcomes in some of the representations. To gain a deeper insight it would be beneficial to pose more detailed questions. Crafting questions with greater precision and directness can help in obtaining clearer and more targeted information. Recommendations for Future Study
For subsequent research, it would be beneficial to rephrase the questions to enhance the
6
precision of the results. Incorporating a broader range of variables, such as personal beliefs, religious affiliations, and gender considerations into a single survey, would enhance the study's future iterations, leading to more precise findings.
