Adult Medical Surgical Focused Review 3 concepts
I decided to do my 3 concepts on the 3 I scored the lowest which was Basic Care and Comfort, Pharmacological and Parenteral Therapies, and Physiological Adaptation.
Basic Care and Comfort: Dietary Needs for a Client Who is Starting Hemodialysis
Provide a diet that is high in carbs and moderate in fat. Restrict intake of fluids
Control protein intake based on the patients stage of chronic kidney disease
Pharmacological and Parenteral Therapies: Priority Findings to Report for Phenytoin
There are CNS effects, gingival hyperplasia, skin rash, cardiovascular effects, endocrine and other effects and it interferes with vitamin K-dependent clotting factors causing bleeding in newborns. The one I missed for the ATI test was to stop medication if rash develops. Physiological Adaptation: Manifestations of Cardiac Tamponade
The expected findings are hypotension, JVD, muffled heart sounds, and paradoxical pulse
Diagnostic procedures are hemodynamic monitoring and pulmonary artery pressures similar and elevated.

Task 1: As a maintenance manager at a plant, you are required to update the existing maintenance plan for one
of the critical plant's systems. This entails defining economical and technically practical maintenance
interventions while considering a high level of safety.
What are the potential approaches for maintenance interventions that could be included in the current
maintenance plan? Provide definitions for each of them, outline their advantages and disadvantages, and
support them with real-life examples.
-
State two potential maintenance decision-making strategies you could adopt and clarify their steps and
logic of implementation.
Introduce and explain the concept of Prognostics and Health Management (PHM). Describe what PHM
entails, as well as its benefits and expectations.
- Explain how the frequency of planned maintenance interventions can impact production and costs for a
specific component.
Clarify the process for selecting the best maintenance intervention approach for that…
