4.1 Q: Develop a general process chart for the requisition process in Exercise 1.1.
4.1 A: The steps to complete a requisition process:(1) requisition form completion and
authorization,
(2) ordering, and (3) receiving and delivery.

Q. Question A is if other factors are equal, which two offices should be located
closest to one another?
A: To determine which two offices should be located closest to one another, we need to
look at the load matrix and find the pair of offices with the highest traffic volume
between them. looking at the load matrix in Table 4.14, we can see that the highest
traffic volume is between offices C and E, with a value of 130. This suggests that offices
C and E should be located closest to one another to minimize traffic and facilitate the
process flow. Therefore, based on the traffic volume data from the load matrix, offices C
and E should be located closest to one another.
B. Q. Figure 4.21 shows one possible layout for the department. What is the total LD
score for this plan using rectilinear distance? (Hint: The rectilinear distance between
offices A and B is 3. .

True, False or Uncertain. Explain your answer.
Own wage elasticity JELLlincrease if product demand elasticity n? is high.
In short run, when there is an increase in wage rate, each firm will hire less labor
and so the industry labor demand is simply the horizontal summation of firm's
labor demand.
а.
b.
Labor demand is represented by the marginal revenue produce schedule (MRP)
when we have competitive product market while it will be represented by the
value of marginal product schedule (VMP) when we have a product market
monopolist.
When elasticity of substitution, SLK, increase that means the L and K are less
substitutable, and the isoquant will be L-shaped.
Minimum wage imposed by the government is always bad for the economy

9. A defense department assigned its highest priority to develop an advanced aircraft using materials not previously used and untested technologies. A firm fixed-price contract was awarded to a qualified vendor. Controls were in place at all levels, and progress reports—noting challenges—were sent to top officials. Top officials reported that progress was excellent, but the project failed due to enormous expenditures with no aircraft developed. Which risks were not adequately considered?
I. Because the requirements were not specific, the use of a firm fixed-price contract made the project risky.
II. The personnel at many levels sent false reports forward on cost incurred and progress made.
III. The contractor lacked adequate technical skills to deal with technology that was still evolving.
IV. Top procurement officials did not act on “red flags” due to a “can do” mentality on a high priority of the program.
