Public health as we know is an element of our social society that has implications
in place to help benefit the natural health of human civilization. Many overlook or lack proper knowledge of public health and the opportunities it provides for individuals worldwide, but it indeed emphasizes impoverished communities. The United States Health Service gives credit to John Adams, who established a national public health policy in 1798[ CITATION Med23 \l 1033 ]. When this policy was created by Mr. Adams it
was notified as being a pivotal moment in the history of public health. As people adapted to the changes and understood how beneficial this element would be for civilization, it was to succeed going into the 19
th
century. This plan was implemented to keep citizens healthy and have the proper nutrition for a healthy bill of life. However, the wave of diseases or illnesses that would plague our nation. This is the reason for having
public health sectors formed to gather research and combat any form of illness affecting
the general population. Even though John Adams had a major role in the evolution of public health in America, it was formed in an era of rich history and eventful activity. Most would believe that Romans influenced a great deal of public health throughout the many communities they served. Excellent examples of public health interventions are the construction of aqueducts by the Romans to provide freshwater to their populace and the use of public health surveillance and travel restrictions by the Venetians[ CITATION Gol14 \l 1033 ]. The Venetians were able to comprehend and regulate disease and adopt isolation techniques to slow the spread of the plague without the aid of scientific investigation[ CITATION Gol14 \l 1033 ]. Those looked upon as leaders knew the sense of urgency that needed to be placed on common health in their community. The influence of public health is an essential vocation to improve the general public's health and quality of life, and make sure their requirements are satisfied.
The worldwide demand for public health as we know it now started to emerge during the Industrial Revolution. As manufacturing evolved into the new standard of living, cities were expanding quickly. The housing wasn't good enough[ CITATION Gol14
\l 1033 ]. They were unaware of the infrastructure required to ensure that the public's health was not jeopardized by the new way of life. Due to occupational safety risks and inadequate nonexistent safety precautions, factories had a high number of injuries, amputations, and illnesses[ CITATION Gol14 \l 1033 ]. The evolution of child labor reached new heights as they were then forced to work in factories and coal mines[ CITATION Gol14 \l 1033 ]. This wrongdoing left tons of children with disabilities and most disabled before their adulthood because of those harsh conditions. Without incremental modifications to safety measures, working-class and poor people around the world were suffering because of their unfavorable working and living situations[ CITATION Gol14 \l 1033 ].
Due to poor conditions and an immense sigh from the public, the change would soon be evolved and applied in the 1800s. Projects and developments were created to improve an infrastructure for public health to be effective in more ways than none. This

major production led to Chicago developing a major sewage pipeline that could treat polluted water[ CITATION Gol14 \l 1033 ]. Ultimately, the growth taking place in the public health field helped create core values that would be in line with the meaning of public health. The shared enthusiasm for public health is one of its basic values. The goal of public health experts is to improve community health through study, investigation, and collaboration to have a beneficial effect. The exceptional thought of creating core values benefits the public more than many may believe. Core values such as pursuit of truth leave a positive effect on any community. Public health practitioners value the people they serve and treat them with respect because they care about the health of their community[ CITATION DrS22 \l 1033 ]. Additionally, public health represents the core value of freedom[ CITATION DrS22 \l 1033 ]. Every day the world introduces a new element or feature to help benefit the living experience, in that same breath public health ensures that they work above and beyond to improve our health systems. Ensuring that the public health system is effective, by making strides in improving
whole communities and not just focusing on the individual. Understanding the lasting effects of poverty and unruly living conditions, the public health system made dramatic changes in the work environment to prevent and limit the number of injuries. Public health and medicine are two elements that can coexist with each other as both were created to help improve the health of the general population. According to Merriam–
Webster medicine is defined as “
a substance or preparation used in treating disease”
[CITATION Mer23 \l 1033 ]
. Medicine is prompted to treat illnesses and injuries that have occurred. The interest in public health would not affect the realm of medicine in totality due to the strategy of public health impacting large communities and populations. Public health grew on me as I made my transition from undergraduate status to the workforce when I completed my degree. I found myself working in the public school field, helping several young children and teens understand the value of life and discipline. As someone who works closely with elementary and middle school students, the call to public health made sense because I always wanted to give back to the community that raised the young adult I am today. Having the ability to work in the school system is underappreciated as school districts are pivotal to public health beneficiaries. Being able to educate the next generation and steer them in the right direction speaks volumes about what more can be done in this sector. The goal for myself is to empower and encourage the youth to always give back to their community and obtain a sustainable education. Because this generation will be the next wave of doctors, scientists, and politicians that will help better the public health state in the future. Since the origin of public health, the advances and strides that public health has taken speak to the dedication of time and research our predecessors put in to make our everyday lives more feasible. Transmissible diseases are no longer the leading causes
